Draw:stitch is a collaboration between artist Marcia Teusink and myself. We run workshops in unusual and interesting places in which we explore both drawing and stitching. The workshops are usually a full day in which we spend the morning drawing with Marcia, followed by stitching with me, Rosie.
We began with a series of 10 workshops run as part of Dover arts Developments project called WW1 Joined Up. Which involved running workshops at all 10 sites involved in the project. This project now has a legacy website which has information about all the artists involved and the workshops which Marcia and I ran. Go to: Artistsww1.uk.
This was then followed up by a series of 3 workshops funded by Ideas Test which took place at Grain, Sheerness and Minster in North Kent. Check out the Draw:Stitch facebook page for more images and up to date workshops.
We then got funding from the Coastal Communities fund to run 3 workshops in Thanet, throughout the summer. Starting at Birchington, then Ramsgate and finally Margate.
